Setup
Open Zia Agent Studio. Choose: start from marketplace template or blank. For learning, start with a template (e.g. sales development agent). Templates walk through configuration without the blank-slate problem.
Define the Agent
Name, scope, target apps, data access. An agent needs to know what it does and where it operates. Set scope narrow — one clear job. Expand later; narrow scope is easier to debug.
Tool Connections
Connect CRM, Desk, Books, or custom APIs. Each tool the agent can call. Permissions flow through Zia; the agent acts as a service account with policy boundaries.
Test and Deploy
Test in Studio’s preview with sample inputs. Verify outputs, check escalation logic. Deploy to a pilot user set. Measure actual outcomes before broad rollout. Marketplace templates reduce time-to-first-agent to under an hour.
